J.K. Rowling’s toxic views of the trans community are no secret. It’s practically impossible for anyone in the entertainment industry to be unaware of the vitriol the Harry Potter author spews on a daily basis, so it’s disappointing to many that the original Draco actor, Tom Felton, should still choose to work with her.

At this point, any actor who willingly works with her is tarred with the same brush whether they actually agree with her or not. This is very much the case for Felton, who has seen a wave of negative attention for possibly the first time in his career.

What is Tom Felton’s role in the new Harry Potter show?

While Felton won’t be making an appearance on screen for the Harry Potter reboot he has expressed interest in returning as a part of the crew. Reports last week indicated that the star would indeed be making his grand return after he “endeared himself to Warner Bros.” He will be the only member of the original cast to be working on the new project.

The last few years have seen Rowling consistently attack the trans community despite them being a marginalized group who simply want the right to be seen and recognized for who they are. Many former cast have already denounced and distanced themselves from the once beloved author, something which only seems to have further enraged her.

Despite this, Felton has refused to condemn Rowling’s attacks on the trans community and now his decision to continue working with her has solidified in the minds of many that he seemingly doesn’t have an issue with her views.

Fans are disappointed

Naturally this comes as a disappointment to fans of the franchise, many of whom looked up to Felton prior to this. One disappointed individual took to TikTok to air their grievances with the actor, telling him he “peaked at 11” and that he hadn’t managed to find any memorable roles since.

On Reddit fans likened him to his character in the Harry Potter franchise. One wrote, “In the Harry potter franchise tom felton is known for playing a craven coward who bows to power to have some small part of it. Great casting it turns out.” Ouch.

Tom isn’t the first to be subject to such attacks online. Last month actor John Lithgow found his own fans turning against him after taking the role of Dumbledore in the reboot. There was also disappointment in British actor Nick Frost’s decision to as the new Hagrid.

In the eyes of many, Felton’s decision looks to be a desperate move to cling to the one thing that ever made him relevant. While the rest of the original cast were able to move on to bigger and better things he seems to be stuck in the past, coasting on the one role he’s really known for, taking the easy way out rather than carving a name for himself in fresh and exciting roles. In the process he’s lost the respect of thousands of Potter fans across the globe.

As part of one of the biggest movie franchises of all-time, the Harry Potter cast have earned themselves enough money to live more than comfortably for the rest of their days.

Even with an television adaptation, there’s a loud faction of fans who can’t imagine ing a new cast. Not only did the ensemble of both established and actors make Harry Potter so memorable, the success led them to even more opportunities for the talented actors. Many involved in the franchise have gone on to carve out incredible careers for themselves in the years since, and with incredible careers comes incredible income.

All of the Harry Potter cast have built sizable wealth over the years, and many of their net worths are estimated to be in the millions. Though it’s difficult to accurately determine any public figure’s net worth as I am not privy to their private financial information, I scoured the internet to craft a list of the 10 Harry Potter cast with the highest net worth. Here they are ranked from lowest to highest.

10. Tom Felton ($20 million)

Best known for his role as Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton has an estimated net worth of $20 million. Before ing the cast, Felton had worked in commercials as well as the 1997 film The Borrowers. Aside from bringing the iconic Slytherin to life, he has built up a diverse acting resume with roles in projects like Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the TV series The Flash. Some of Felton’s most recent works include the 2020 film A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting and the 2022 film Save the Cinema. In addition to his acting and voiceover work, he is also a musician and has released several EPs throughout the years. In October of 2022, he released his memoir about his time in the franchise, titled Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.

9. Gary Oldman ($40-50 million)

Gary Oldman already had quite the acting resume before he ed the Harry Potter cast as Sirius Black. The English actor, with a net worth estimated between $40 million and $50 million, is an accomplished actor with credits as varied as Commissioner James Gordon in the Dark Knight trilogy and Count Dracula in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Like many other English actors, Oldman got his start in theater before transitioning to mostly film roles, and has made a name for himself playing versatile characters. He might be best known for his acting work, but he’s skilled in other creative disciplines as well. He wrote, produced, and directed the film Nil By Mouth and also frequently contributes his voice to video games like Call of Duty. If you didn’t already think Oldman was cool, he’s also signed a book deal in 2015 to co-write a novel about a vampire set during the Gold Rush.

8. Ralph Fiennes ($40-60 million)

Images via Searchlight Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures

Ralph Fiennes played Harry’s ultimate nemesis Voldemort in the series. Different sources online estimate his net worth anywhere from $40 to $60 million, though most agree on $50 million as the likely number. Fiennes has built a long career aside from his work in Harry Potter with roles like Amon Goth in Schindler’s List, landing him Academy Award nominations and other accolades. His acting credits aren’t only limited to playing villains or appearing in ultra serious fare; Fiennes has proven his versatility in comedic roles as well, voicing Alfred Pennyworth in The Lego Batman Movie and playing Monsieur Gustave in The Grand Budapest Hotel. In addition to acting, he’s also an accomplished director and UNICEF ambassador.

7. Emma Thompson ($40-60 million)

Image via Warner Bros. Pictures

Before she played Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter films, Emma Thompson was already an actress with an established filmography. She began her career doing sketch comedy and theater before getting her initial breakthrough with Howard’s End in 1992, winning an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA for her role as Margaret Schlegel. Thompson continued to star in beloved projects like Sense and Sensibility (also writing the screenplay), Nanny Mhee, and recent Disney live-action adaptations like Beauty and the Beast and Cruella. Her fortune of an estimated $40 to $60 million doesn’t just come from her work as an actress; Thompson has also used her skills as a writer to pen three Peter Rabbit books.

6. Rupert Grint ($50-60 million)

Our first of the main trio to appear on this list is Rupert Grint, coming in at number six with a net worth of an estimated $50-$60 million. Acting in school theatrical productions as a child, Grint landed his first professional acting role when he was cast as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, and he’s continued to act ever since. Aside from his work in the Wizarding World, Grint’s notable roles include Julian Pearce in the horror series Servant and Redmond in the film Knock at the Cabin. While he’s best known for his acting work, he’s diversified his income through investing in real estate properties as well as famously purchasing an ice cream truck, though there’s no word on how lucrative that particular investment turned out to be.

5. Kenneth Branagh ($55-65 million)

Kenneth Branagh portrayed Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and has a reported net worth estimated between $55 and $65 million. Before ing the franchise, Branagh had built a career as both an acclaimed filmmaker and actor, notably directing and starring in the 1995 adaptation of Hamlet, believed by many to be the best version of the story to date. Some of his more recent work has been directing Thor, starring in Oppenheimer (his third project with Christopher Nolan) and writing and directing the film Belfast, for which he won Best Original Screenplay at the 94th Academy Awards.

4. Helena Bonham Carter ($60-70 million)

Image via Warner Bros. Pictures

Helena Bonham Carter is descended from a long line of political figures on both sides of her family and has been celebrated for her work as an actress, a career which has contributed to her reported net worth of $60 to $70 million. While her portrayal of Bellatrix Lestrange might be her most well-known role — and dare I say, certainly one of her most iconic — Bonham Carter has a versatile filmography and is known for her work in films such as Fight Club, Sweeney Todd, and Ocean’s 8 as well as a recent turn as Princess Margaret in Netflix’s The Crown. In addition to her acting credits, she’s known for her sense of style and has created her own fashion line in the past.

3. Emma Watson ($85-90 million)

Emma Watson, known for starring as Hermione Granger, has amassed an estimated net worth of $85-90 million over the years. Before landing the role of Hermione, she had only acted in local productions and Harry Potter was her first professional credit. She has continued to act after the series ended, starring in films like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Little Women. Watson is also an activist and committed feminist, lending her voice to causes she believes in. In addition to her acting work and activism, Watson works with many high fashion brands like Prada and Yves Saint Laurent and has recently launched a brand of gin with her brother Alex earlier this year.

2. Robert Pattinson ($100 million)

Robert Pattinson made an impression upon fans when he starred as Cedric Diggory in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. While impressive, that role isn’t the only one contributing to his high net worth of $100 million; Pattinson became the face of his own movie franchise when he signed on to play Edward in Twilight. He has continued to build a versatile acting career, starring in films like The Lighthouse, Tenet, and another high-budget franchise as the star of Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Pattinson has also been working with Dior Homme since 2013, and has a music career in addition to his acting projects.

1. Daniel Radcliffe ($110-120 million)

The Harry Potter star with the highest reported net worth is none other than the Boy Who Lived himself, Daniel Radcliffe, with a net worth between $110-120 million. Due to his work in the series, Radcliffe became one of the highest paid actors in the world at a young age. The actor has built a career spanning different mediums and genres, starring in musicals like How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and a variety of films. He’s demonstrated his range and a penchant for comedy through movies like The Lost City, Swiss Army Man, and Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. As you can likely tell from the projects he chooses to work on, Radcliffe is a talented musician and a huge fan of hip hop (as demonstrated in the above clip).

Ahead of ‘Hogwarts Legacy’, what has the cast of ‘Harry Potter’ said about J.K. Hogwarts Legacy is about to hit consoles this Feb. 10, but while Warner Bros. and developers Avalanche Software might be wishing there was nothing but positive publicity around this flashy new Wizarding World video game, unfortunately, the discourse surrounding it has been dominated by the ramifications of Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling‘s continuing transphobic tirade. Fans have a lot to say on the matter, and so too, it seems, has the cast of the original HP movies.

Many of the leading stars of the films that introduced screen audiences to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first place have already made clear how they feel about Rowling’s attitudes long before Hogwarts Legacy came about. While some have stood their ground in opposition to the billionaire writer’s views, others have been less damning, with certain cast even coming out in her defense. Here are all the most notable reactions to Rowling’s rhetoric from Harry Potter stars.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint

In the wake of Rowling’s anti-trans views becoming abundantly clear for the first time back in summer 2020, thankfully the so-called Golden Trio quickly spoke out against her opinions and in of the trans community. While all three have been careful not to disparage the author as a person, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) have made clear — on at least two occasions each at the time of writing — that they have no truck with Rowling’s hurtful comments, much to the relief of their millions of fans.

Tom Felton, Jason Isaacs, and Harry Melling

On the other hand, a trio of their fellow former Harry Potter stars have not come down so hard on J.K. Rowling. While likewise attempting to distance themselves from Rowling’s transphobic rhetoric and making clear that they don’t share her views, these three actors have nonetheless attempted to remain impartial in the matter and have refrained from speaking ill of the creator.

First, Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has stressed that he doesn’t “tend to pick sides,” describing himself as “pro-love,” but he did offer his glowing opinion of Rowling that “no one has single-handedly done more for bringing joy to so many different generations and walks of life.”

Felton’s on-screen father Jason Isaacs ironically said much the same to The Telegraph in Jan. 2022. Although itting that he didn’t want to “get drawn into the trans issues,” which he feels is an “extraordinary minefield,” Isaacs stated: “She has her opinions, I have mine. They differ in many different areas.” He did, however, praise Rowling’s extensive charity work, which he called “unequivocally good.”

Lastly, Harry Melling (Dudley Dursley) offered something of a synthesis of the Golden Trio’s responses with the neutrality of the on-screen Malfoys. He informed The Independent in Jan. 2023: “I can only speak for myself, and what I feel, to me, is very simple, which is that transgender women are women and transgender men are men.” That said, he added, “I don’t want to the debate of pointing fingers and saying, ‘That’s right, that’s wrong,’ because I don’t think I’m the correct spokesperson for that.”

Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, and Robbie Coltrane

At the other end of the scale, three additional Harry Potter stars have strongly spoken out in Rowling’s defense. The Dark Lord himself Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) has decried the “verbal abuse” directed at the writer as “disgusting” and “appalling,” as well as maintaining that Rowling’s views do not make her an “uber Right-wing fascist.” Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) appears to sympathize with Rowling herself, bemoaning the “witch hunt” around her and stressed that she thinks “she’s allowed her opinion.” Last but not least, Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) waded into the debate prior to his death, commenting: “‘I don’t think what she said was offensive, really. ”

As ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ reignites controversy, these ‘Harry Potter’ stars have spoken out in of J.K. Rowling https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/news/harry-potter-stars-spoken--of-j-k-rowling/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/news/harry-potter-stars-spoken--of-j-k-rowling/#respond Tue, 31 Jan 2023 17:40:31 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1411585 Most of the franchise's stars have criticized Rowling's transphobic views — but not all of them! ]]>

With the release of Hogwarts Legacy pending, it’s inevitable that the transphobic views held by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling are surfacing once again. Not that they need to resurface, exactly, since Rowling does a pretty good job of reminding people that she’s problematic on a fairly regular basis.

While many of the stars of the Harry Potter film franchise, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have all made statements indicating that they unequivocally stand behind the trans community, unfortunately there are others who seem to think that Rowling’s comments are no big deal.

Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Fiennes, who played Voldermort in the films, told the The New York Times that the so-called abuse Rowling receives is “disgusting.”

“J.K. Rowling has written these great books about empowerment, about young children finding themselves as human beings,” Fiennes said last October. “It’s about how you become a better, stronger, more morally centered human being. The verbal abuse directed at her is disgusting, it’s appalling.”

“I mean, I can understand a viewpoint that might be angry at what she says about women,” he continued. “But it’s not some obscene, uber-right-wing fascist. It’s just a woman saying, ‘I’m a woman, and I feel I’m a woman, and I want to be able to say that I’m a woman.’ And I understand where she’s coming from. Even though I’m not a woman.”

Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter, the alter ego of Voldermort’s right-hand woman, Bellatrix Lestrange, told the U.K.’s Sunday Times in November that she thought the backlash against Rowling was “horrendous.”

“It’s horrendous, a load of bollocks. I think she has been hounded,” Bonham Carter said at the time. “It’s been taken to the extreme, the judgmentalism of people. She’s allowed her opinion, particularly if she’s suffered abuse. Everybody carries their own history of trauma and forms their opinions from that trauma and you have to respect where people come from and their pain. You don’t all have to agree on everything — that would be insane and boring. She’s not meaning it aggressively, she’s just saying something out of her own experience.”

Robbie Coltrane

The late Robbie Coltrane, who played the half-human, half-giant Hagrid, chalked the whole thing up to people looking to be offended.

“I don’t think what she said was offensive really. I don’t know why, but there’s a whole Twitter generation of people who hang around waiting to be offended,” Coltrane told the Radio Times in 2020. “They wouldn’t have won the war, would they? That’s me talking like a grumpy old man, but you just think, ‘Oh, get over yourself. Wise up, stand up straight, and carry on,'” he continued, adding that he didn’t want to comment further “because of all the hate mail and all that s**t,” which he said he didn’t need in his life.

Tom Felton

Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, didn’t quite go so far as to defend Rowling. However, in a Sunday Times interview from last year, he instead attempted to stay neutral when discussing the author and instead focused on the positive contributions she’s made to pop culture.

“I couldn’t speak for what others have said or what she said, to be completely honest, but I’m often reminded, attending Comic Cons in particular, that no one has single-handedly done more for bringing joy to so many different generations and walks of life,” Felton said in October 2022. “I’m constantly reminded of her positive work in that field and as a person. I’ve only had a handful of meetings with her, but she has always been lovely. So I’m very grateful for that.”

Harry Potter had quite the crush, at least the actor who played him did. Unfortunately for that actor, Daniel Radcliffe, his crush was not cast in the 8-part movie series….but that didn’t stop Radcliffe from having a Cameron Diaz photo play an off-screen role in the films.

The photo came into play during the filming of many Quidditch scenes as the actors had to sit on a bike saddle attached to a metal pole because they none of the actors had learned to fly brooms yet.

The Diaz photo story is told in Tom Felton’s just-released memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard. Felton played Potter’s fellow student and adversary, Draco Malfoy.

Felton explains that the actors needed something to make sure that all of them were looking at the same spot where the Quidditch ball would be. The crew achieved this with a tennis ball attached to the end of a pole. The only problem was that the scenes called for more than just Quidditch balls and there was more than one Quidditch ball, anyway (Quaffles, Bludgers, and the Golden Snitch).

There were also other objects they had to stare at, such as a dragon. On those occasions, filmmakers eventually allowed the cast to choose pictures and it could be of anyone or anything they wanted. Felton explains, “We chose pictures of something or somebody close to our hearts. Daniel Radcliffe had a picture of a particularly beautiful Cameron Diaz.”

Diaz was well known as Radcliffe’s crush by the cast, and as of an ission earlier this year — also by the public.

Felton did not explain whether or not the photo of Diaz distracted Radcliffe, though we are certain any falls from his broom that Radcliffe suffered were all scripted.

Review: ‘Burial’ is a World War 2 melodrama marred by mediocrity https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/review-the-burial-is-a-world-war-2-melodrama-marred-by-mediocrity/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/review-the-burial-is-a-world-war-2-melodrama-marred-by-mediocrity/#respond Fri, 02 Sep 2022 17:14:18 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1289695 Tom Felton, Barry Ward, and Charlotte Vega struggle to inject this pedestrian melodrama with zeal, leaving Harriet Walter to quietly deliver the goods.]]>

If Burial does nothing else when released into cinemas Sept. 2nd, it should make audiences think twice before they pursue a life of crime.

Written and directed by Ben Parker, this small-scale wartime melodrama opens with Karl Edwards (David Alexander) handcuffed to a radiator. The year is 1991, and from his vantage point, he can see Anna Marshall (Harriet Walter) sitting on her bed, ignoring him. Disarmed, disabled, and captive, according to her whim, Karl gets to regret his choice of occupation very quickly.

Burial starts out as a conversational two-hander between them, as a story of wartime espionage and Nazi cargoes gets gradually unpacked. Following some harsh accusations from Karl, who realizes quickly how ill-equipped he is for the job, Anna begins to reveal her part in this sorry tale through a flashback. A move that morphs Marshall into Brana Vasilyeva (Charlotte Vega) circa 1945.

What follows is a strange mix of horror fable, character study, and World War 2 firefight. At this point, writer-director Ben Parker also sketches out his stereotypes. First up is Vadim Ilyasov (Dan Renton Skinner), an obnoxious, overbearing lout who throws his weight around and bullies without impunity. He is headstrong, objectionable, and for that reason, obviously outlasts almost everyone else.

Next in line is Tor Oleynik (Barry Ward), who possesses the genuine leadership qualities this small squad of Russian soldiers requires, should anyone wish to get back in one piece. Then finally, there is Brana, who has more gumption than the rest of her team combined, who forges ahead with the mission irrespective of the obstacles en route.

As they move through and into Poland with their precious cargo, this motley band of Stalinists bond through shared experience. Waylaid by snipers on the road, they are forced to take cover in nearby trees, gathering wood and making fire as darkness sets in. Banks of mist inevitably envelope them soon after, as a brooding presence lingers in the darkness.

With Ilyasov and his comrades heading off to find sustenance, Brana and those who remain are left fanning their meager flame. Talk then turns to werewolves, as their temporary dwelling takes on an ominous air where things go bump in the night. It is also where Burial gets a little odd, and some audience might recall the seminal werewolf flick Dog Soldiers.

However, beyond those comparisons, it is also the moment at which Lukasz (Tom Felton) makes his entrance and adds another element to the equation. Needless to say, Brana and Lukasz immediately connect for no other reason but narrative convenience. What follows are further recriminations from local villagers as the identity of their secret cargo becomes common knowledge. On top of that, a rogue team of Russian operatives is looking to steal the contents for themselves.

This leads to a little light capture, some mildly diverting torture in close-up, and further conversations about the morality of keeping this cargo in one piece. That is where Burial loses its way a little bit more, as any potential drama gets diluted down. Within this ensemble, only Ward, Vega, and Felton really engage, while everyone else is somewhat superfluous.

As this film descends further into formulaic convention and audiences fight an urge to do something else, what starts out as an intriguing concept sold by an understated Walter, fails to land its final twist. There is a distinct sense of disappointment in the final third, as our protagonists desperately try to convince audiences that something more important is going on. Sadly, this is a battle they have little hope of winning since indifference has long since replaced any sense of emotional investment.

However, highlights worth noting include Alex Baranowski’s score, which adds a malevolent quality to some truly top-notch visuals. Another redeeming quality is Harriet Walter, who earns every penny of her fee in those closing minutes by istering a much-needed adrenaline shot to this film. Mirroring in many ways, the approach Diana Rigg applied to Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho at a similar point.

Unfortunately, that is where comparisons end between them since Burial leans too heavily on genre convention without adding anything fresh. For that reason, any decent performances which are happening on screen fail to rescue it from mediocrity.

Warner Bros. got J.K. Rowling’s back after a PR rep censored a question about the Harry Potter creator and issued a fallacious statement.

While covering the launch of the Mandrakes and Magical Creatures attraction at London’s Warner Bros. Studio Tour, Sky News interviewed Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the film series.

“J.K. obviously has sort of more of a back seat now,” the journalist said to him. “Is it strange for her not being around at things like this">defend her. Felton didn’t have to do either, as the question posed to him was not explicitly about her views, although any question about the author could be perceived as a landmine in a culture war.

Ultimately, the PR rep did their job in protecting Felton, as did Warner Bros. in protecting Rowling.

Yet another gaffe has been spotted in the Harry Potter reunion special — and this time the sleuth isn't just a fan. ]]>

Five more points to Gryffindor! Owl-eyed Harry Potter fans quickly spotted a major photo gaffe committed in the long-awaited Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion special that mistakenly identified a childhood pic of American Horror Story actor Emma Roberts as Potter star Emma Watson. However, a new mistake has been spotted by none other than a fellow costar of Watson.

Another, perhaps even more common, case of mistaken identity was brought to light by Watson’s fellow actor Oliver Phelps, who originated the role of George Weasley in the films. Phelps pointed out on his own Instagram that he had been mistakenly identified as his own brother, identical twin James Phelps, who portrayed George’s twin, Fred in the movies. Although Phelps also pointed out, with a wink, that perhaps the mistake was actually payback in disguise.

“I guess after all those pranks over the years somebody decided to get their revenge. It was fantastic to be part of the HP reunion. Hope you all enjoyed it.” – Oliver Phelps

Phelps’ post garnered some predictably cheeky responses from his fellow Potter film alums. Tom Felton, who played antagonist Draco Malfoy, claimed responsibility for the gaffe in a winking manner stating that “It was my doing” followed by a lion and snake emoji, referencing the franchises’ inter-house rivalry. Matthew Lewis, portrayer of fan-fave Neville Longbottom chimed in with “This is legit hilarious. Dude. Wtf? Haha.”

Although the producers did not release another statement following Phelps’ revelation the error has reportedly been fixed and fans can view the corrected version now on HBO Max.

‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson recalls the moment she ‘fell in love’ with her co-star https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/harry-potter-star-emma-watson-recalls-the-moment-she-fell-in-love-with-her-co-star/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/harry-potter-star-emma-watson-recalls-the-moment-she-fell-in-love-with-her-co-star/#respond Wed, 29 Dec 2021 23:14:45 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1122958 Emma Watson recalls the moment she fell in love with co-star Tom Felton when working on the first 'Harry Potter' film.]]>

We’re only two days away from the monumental reunion of the Harry Potter cast in Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, so you can only imagine how hyped Potterheads must be feeling right now.

This special will feature the return of the main trio, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rubert Grint (Ron Weasley), and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), alongside many other ing cast like Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), and Gary Oldman (Sirius Black.)

In a new sneak peek that promotes this long-anticipated reunion, Watson discusses what it was like to fall for her co-star Tom Felton from the very early days of working on the movie franchise. Of course, as most diehard enthusiasts will probably tell you, the British actress has repeatedly talked about this experience in the past. But watching this innocent juvenile crush get a proper acknowledgment on camera, in an official capacity, no less, where Felton can also discuss his side of things, must truly be an exciting occasion for fans.

Here’s how Watson herself described the ordeal in the sneak peek:

“I walked into the room where we were having tutoring. The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it — I just fell in love with him,” She its. “I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day. He was three years above me and so for him, he was like, ‘You’re like my little sister.'”

Of course, while the press has gone crazy over the years with hearsay about the two actors dating, nothing ultimately happened between them, though Felton its that he was aware of the crush and became “protective” of his co-star.

“I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, ‘Yeah, she had a crush on you,'” He says. “I became very protective over her. Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.”

The Harry Potter special reunion episode premieres on January 1 on HBO Max.

Tom Felton unsuccessfully slithers into DMs with ‘Harry Potter’ reference https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/harry-potter-star-unsuccessfully-slithers-into-dms-with-harry-potter-reference/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/harry-potter-star-unsuccessfully-slithers-into-dms-with-harry-potter-reference/#respond Fri, 24 Dec 2021 00:54:44 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1120114 A 'Harry Potter' star just learned that being in a popular movie franchise doesn't guarantee a response on Instagram.]]>

Social media influencer, daughter of Lori Loughlin, fake competitive rower, and Dancing With the Stars alum Olivia Jade Giannulli wasn’t impressed by a certain Harry Potter star when slid into DMs.

During an appearance on E!s Down in the DMs, Giannuli apologetically revealed that Harry Potter Actor Tom Felton once privately reached out to her on Instagram. “I’m really sorry I’m going to expose you,” she said. “But I think you’re probably a really nice person.”

Felton messaged Giannuli, “Hello mate. Dig your work,” accompanied by a snake emoji. Harry Potter fans will surely recognize the significance as the snake is the symbol of Slytherin, the Hogwarts Academy house that Felton’s Draco Malfoy was a member of. However, it turns out Felton may have underestimated the universal appeal of the Harry Potter books and movies.

Giannulli explained that “I haven’t seen the Harry Potter movies, so I didn’t get the joke.” She went on to explain, “most people would probably understand [the snake] and be excited by it,” but that it failed to anything but confusion with her. “I didn’t respond, and now I just exposed that I’ve seen it, and I didn’t respond, so that’s also rude of me. I just need to watch more movies.”

Giannulli has been making headlines recently for dating Australian actor and heartthrob Jacob Elordi after they were spotted recently on a date in Los Angeles. He was previously linked to his Euphoria co-star Zendaya.

Felton was previously in a long-term relationship with stunt assistant Jade Olivia Gordon from April 2008 until early 2016. Gordon played Draco Malfoy’s wife in the epilogue scene of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. His current relationship status is unknown, but it is statistically likely that the snake move worked on someone.

Catch Felton in Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts – the Reunion set to stream on HBOMax on New Year’s Day.

Tom Felton Posts Harry Potter Reunion Photo, Breaks The Internet https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/tom-felton-posts-harry-potter-reunion-photo-breaks-the-internet/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/tom-felton-posts-harry-potter-reunion-photo-breaks-the-internet/#comments Sat, 06 Nov 2021 02:03:33 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1092749 He also revealed a small secret about Draco Malfoy.]]>

There’s nothing Harry Potter fans love more than seeing the old gang back together from the original films. While fans had a little bit of a scare when Tom Felton collapsed at a golf tournament (don’t worry, he’s okay) it looks like he’s out and having a great time with some old “enemies” of his.

Felton posted a special snapshot to Twitter featuring Bonnie Wright, Rupert Grint, and Oliver Phelps — Ginny, Ron, and George Weasley respectively. While we know there’s no way that Draco would be caught dead with the Weasleys, luckily Felton is a bit kinder than his silver screen counterpart.

Check out the picture and a little “fun fact” about Draco Malfoy he mentioned below.

Unsurprisingly, Potterheads went absolutely berzerk over the photo. Some of their reactions are absolutely priceless.

Who wouldn’t want to have Tom Felton be in their family?

And now we know what a red-headed Draco would really look like!

Looks like a story perfectly suited for fan-fiction!

While Felton and the gang won’t be in it, Potterheads can get their next look at the world of Harry Potter when Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, releases on April 15, 2022.

Tom Felton Reveals Role His Grandpa Had In Harry Potter And The Sorceror’s Stone https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/tom-felton-reveals-role-his-grandpa-had-in-harry-potter-and-the-sorcerors-stone/ https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/movies/tom-felton-reveals-role-his-grandpa-had-in-harry-potter-and-the-sorcerors-stone/#respond Tue, 21 Sep 2021 01:28:06 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.sitesunblocked.org/?p=1068283 You may have missed him.]]>

When you think back to Harry Potter, you can’t forget about the appearance of Tom Felton as Potter’s nemesis Draco Malfoy, but what you may not have known is that Tom wasn’t the only Felton to appear in the series. Since the series concluded almost a decade ago, Felton has carried the flag of his achievements proudly, often sharing memories of his time on set filming the iconic fantasy series.

Earlier today on Instagram, Felton shared another gem from the set, this time of the first film in the series revealing that his grandfather actually scored a role in the film.

While Felton’s Grandpa might not have had a major role in the film his character can be seen watching on as Gryffindor take on Slytherin in Quidditch. According to another Instagram video shared by the actor, his grandfather appeared once again in the film during a different scene.

“That’s my grandpa again! The guy with the beard. White beard! Huge beard right next to Lee Jordan. And there’s me again. It’s a family thing, mental! Mental!”

While he managed to score a role in a major picture like Harry Potter, Felton’s Grandpa isn’t an actor himself. It’s great to see Felton reminisce with fans on some of hits times filming the series.
