More villains you love to hate are on their way. ]]>
<![CDATA[

House of Villains, the competition series where reality TV’s biggest baddies fight for first place, will return for a second series, after a smash-hit first season. As confirmed in a report by Variety, the series has been renewed by the E! network, with production set to begin soon. Last season saw an all-star cast, including Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, and 90 Day Fiancé’s Anfisa Arkhipchenko competing for the crown of TV’s most devious villain. 6o3hx

However, it was Bad Girls’ Club’s Tanisha Thomas who came out on top, taking home the title after weeks of mental and physical challenges, and surviving the twists, turns and all-round backstabbing when it came to the peer-chosen eliminations. Here’s what we know about the newly-announced season so far.

According to Variety, the E! network plans to release House of Villains season 2 sometime “this year” – although no exact date was confirmed. However, the entertainment outlet did confirm that production will begin in Feb. 2024.

As the last season ended in December last year, filming probably hasn’t begun for the new season just yet — as the production stage also includes casting, location scouting, etc. However, if they are planning to stay consistent with scheduling this show, we can expect season 2 to arrive by wintertime, possibly in Oct. 2024, exactly a year after the first season began airing.

As revealed by an exclusive report by Entertainment Weekly, the cast of season 2 of House of Villains has recently been revealed, as of April 2024. The Challenge star Wes Bergman was the first to be revealed, alongside Real Housewives of New Jersey legend Teresa Giudice, who will likely be playing up the criminal aspect of her villain status, as she served 11 months in prison for fraud in 2015. Equally iconic is Flavor of Love alum Tiffany Pollard, who is arguably more famous for providing the internet with countless reaction gifs and memes.

Also ing the cast is Safaree from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, as well as Survivor’s Richard Hatch, and wrestler Jessie Godderz, who appeared on two seasons of Big Brother USA. Following in the footsteps of fellow 90 Day Fiancé alum Anfisa is Larissa Lima, whose temper equals that of her predecessor, as well as Kandy Muse of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame, who was accused of bullying fellow cast of the show. From the appropriately titled Bad Girls Club, Camilla Poindexter will be competing for the big prize this series.

Who is "America's Ultimate Supervillain"?]]>
<![CDATA[

This article contains spoilers for House of Villains season 1.

E!’s fiery new reality competition series House of Villains wrapped its first season ahead of 2024. So, who earned the illustrious title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain”?

Ten of reality television’s most notorious and diabolical stars moved into a California-based mansion to snag a six-figure check while writing another chapter in their legendary careers. Competition veterans like The Apprentice’s Omarosa, The Challenge’s Johnny Bananas, and Survivor’s Jonny Fairplay duked it out with notable reality personalities including Flavor of Love’s Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Love & Hip Hop’s Bobby Lytes, and The Bachelor’s Corinne Olympios.

Through 10 episodes, the eccentric and over-the-top villains vied for power and staved off elimination until only five contestants remained on finale night. And after the dust settled, it was Bad Girls Club alum Tanisha Thomas who stood above the rest as House of Villain’s queen.

Not only did Tanisha earn the series’ first championship, but she also cashed the $200,000 grand prize that came with it.

So, let’s take a brief look into how her season unfolded, and what she had to say about it.

Tanisha allied with Johnny Bananas, which paid dividends in the end-game 6b6z6y

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VMCndZ6wZZM

Tanisha’s reality TV tenure began in 2007 when she starred in the second season of Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club as a 21-year-old hailing from Flatbush, New York. After that, she began popping up on other shows as a personality, including Tanisha Gets Married in 2012 and in 2014’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, as well as in several other iterations of Bad Girls Club.

Her lengthy resume preceded her when she walked into the “Villain’s Lair” on episode 1. But, she was known for her hilarious and boisterous personality, not her strategic and gaming prowess like others. However, in what was likely her best move, she attached herself to Johnny Bananas as a key ally.

Although Omarosa and Jonny Fairplay are heralded as reality competition icons, Johnny Bananas is the face of MTV’s The Challenge. He was far and away the most experienced competitor on House of Villains, which directly helped Tanisha navigate the game.

After Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor had the unfortunate honor of being the first player voted out, Bananas became the second “Supervillain of the Week,” ensuring Tanisha’s safety. But, what followed was Tanisha’s most difficult week on House of Villains. Her nemesis, Omarosa, ascended the throne again and nominated her for the “Hit List” alongside Tanisha’s ally, Corinne, and Love Is Blind’s Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee. Omarosa and Tanisha engaged in multiple heated arguments throughout the 10-episode season.

Their ups and downs included when Omarosa accused Tanisha of striking her wrist with a trombone — something that was refuted by the show’s edit.

Shake won week 3’s “Redemption Challenge,” leaving Corinne and Tanisha on the chopping block. The deck seemed stacked against Tanisha, especially because Bananas and Corinne were living their best showmance life. But, Bananas showed his undying loyalty to Tanisha by cutting Corinne over her.

And that was the last time Tanisha’s House of Villains campaign was in danger.

Her exceptional social game kept her in the good graces of all the players — except for Omarosa, of course — and in the final three rounds of play, she enjoyed safety without winning any competitions.

Tanisha locked in the season’s victory during the finale after Bananas became the last Supervillain of the Week. With the win, he had the opportunity to bring one person to the finals with him, and he chose his ride-or-die companion. Bananas said after the fact that he knew he sealed his fate by selecting Tanisha, but that their friendship was more important than the cash prize.

Anfisa triumphed in the last Redemption Challenge and ed Bananas and Tanisha in front of the eliminated players. One by one, the ousted villains chose between the trio for whom they wanted to award the $200,000.

Jax, New York, and (surprisingly) Omarosa threw their votes at Tanisha while Corinne, Shake, and Jonny Fairplay voted for Bananas. Because there was a tie (Bobby didn’t return to the show after he was eliminated), Anfisa was tasked with delivering the game-winning decision.

And as history has it, Anfisa picked Tanisha to represent House of Villains’ inaugural season.

Tanisha’s strategy was to compete authentically 1y395k

Although Tanisha had one of the biggest personalities on the House of Villains roster, she wasn’t viewed as a top-tier villain. When she spoke with The Messenger after the finale aired in December, Tanisha said she used her dynamic identity as her main strategy to win over her housemates.

“I recognize most people would not see me as a villain — at least not my fans. They know I’m really a sweetheart at my core. However, I feel like it was so great to show that there’s so many facets … like, I could be a villain, I could be a sweetheart. It really depends on the day and the circumstance. And I won being true to myself, being real and honest and loving and caring, and to have my fellow villains vote for me in the end was super dope.”

Tanisha also beamed about her and Bananas’ friendship. Besides recently helping him open up a boxing gym in Boca Raton, Florida, she said she viewed him like a “new brother.” “They’re calling us Banisha online, it’s wild,” Tanisha said. “They love us. They’re saying we’re the duo you never knew you needed. And I agree.”

She also gave the seven-time Challenge champion major credit for her success on House of Villains. But, that’s not to say that Tanisha isn’t tipping a cap to herself.

“If it was not for him, I don’t know if I would have made it to the finals. I mean, I didn’t really win a challenge. But ultimately, I think I won. What’s most important was the respect and the love and the comion of the house and this understanding that Tanisha is a valuable player despite her not winning any challenges — like, we should keep her around if not for anything else, for her entertainment purposes or whatever it was. But I’m glad that they did. And he definitely, I think, contributed to me standing next to him in the end, and I’m sure that probably will haunt him for a long time, but it’s OK.”

E! has yet to announce whether or not they’ll go ahead with a second season of House of Villains. It was a super fun product, but, although not terrible, the ratings and social media engagement weren’t a homerun. Hopefully the network films season 2. But, if they don’t, Tanisha will live in the history books as America’s one and only Ultimate Supervillain — a well-deserved title.

We’re now a few episodes into E!’s brand-new reality competition franchise House of Villains, and it’s been quite the ride already. Ten notorious reality TV stars moved into the Villains’ Lair in pursuit of a $200,000 cash prize.

But, that’s not all they’re playing for. Host Joel McHale revealed in episode 1 that after the dust settles, the player who beats out the rest will also earn the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain” — that’ll look great on their entertainment resume.

The contestants range from a money-nabbing Challenge star to a Bachelor alum with a mended heart. Every person on the cast has made a name for themselves in large part due to their on-screen villainy.

Whether it was a moment, like Jonny Fairplay’s dead grandma lie, or their overall persona — enter The Apprentice’s Omarosa — they all earned a spot on the first season’s roster. Here’s who showed up:

 • Tiffany “New York” Pollard from Flavor of Love 1
 • Corinne Olympios from The Bachelor 21
 • Omarosa from The Apprentice 1
 • Tanisha Thomas from Bad Girls Club 2
 • Anfisa Arkhipchenko from 90 Day Fiancé 4
 • Jonny Fairplay from Survivor: Pearl Islands
 • Johnny Bananas from The Challenge
 • Bobby Lytes from Love & Hip Hop: Miami
 • Jax Taylor from Vanderpump Rules
 • Shake Chatterjee from Love Is Blind 2

So, how does House of Villains work? In this article, I’ll break down the structure of the game step by step. And don’t worry, I’ll keep it spoiler-free.

A quick note: this article is based on three episodes of House of Villains. Because it’s a new franchise, there may be twists and turns that shake up the game’s format. If that’s the case, the article will be updated accordingly.

The villains battle in competitions and The Stronghold spells the end to one of their games every round of play 4q295e

House of Villains is structured like most reality competition shows. The contestants vie for power and safety to avoid elimination. And every round of play ends with someone booted from the game.

Determining the ‘Supervillain of the Week’ 3z3916

First, the cast competes for the week’s ultimate power position, coined “Supervillain of the Week.” By earning the house’s top spot, the reality star isn’t just safe from leaving the game during that round of play, they’re also faced with a decision. The Supervillain of the Week is charged with nominating three other contestants for possible elimination. Those three players make up the Hit List — more on that later.

To determine who ascends the throne, the contestants face off in a Battle Royale. The individual-based competitions range from physical to mental and strategic challenges, and they’re designed to award one winner.

A select group of cast enjoy a luxury reward p3367

When the Supervillain of the Week is crowned, they not only have to write the Hit List, but they also have another choice to make. By winning the day, they get to embark on a luxury reward alongside two other villains. And who gets to them is completely up to the week’s champion. The trio heads out after freshening up from the challenge.

The ‘Hit List’ is drawn 2ev2q

When the three return to the Villain’s Lair, it’s time to see who is in danger of going home. The remaining contestants make a trip down into The Stronghold through a secret age in the mansion. There they’re greeted by McHale, and once the Supervillain of the Week takes a seat in the middle of the group, he asks them for their Hit List.

At that point, they share the three names. One of those three players is guaranteed to have their game end during the round of play. However, they have an opportunity to save themselves from the Banishment Ceremony.

A nominee secures their safety 2x593o

Kind of like Big Brother with the Power of Veto or Survivor with its Immunity Challenges, House of Villains features competitions for players to earn safety. The three reality stars making up the week’s Hit List duel in the Redemption Challenge.

Whoever comes out on top of the challenge erases their name from the list, while the other two remain with their head squarely under the guillotine. At that point, no competition will save them — only their social and strategic abilities will.

A villain’s campaign ends via an anonymous vote 6s1t4g

After wheeling, dealing, and annoying their housemates, the cast heads back down into The Stronghold for the Banishment Ceremony. The Supervillain of the Week assumes their spot in the chair, while the two on the Hit List are strapped into their own chairs on the other side of the room.

After the two make their final pleas to the cast, the voting begins. The Supervillain of the Week and the two nominees aren’t allowed a vote. Instead, they watch as every other contestant takes a turn in the private voting area.

Once all the eligible villains have their say on who leaves the Villains’ Lair, the votes are tallied. Whoever receives the most votes is then (literally) ejected out of the game by the Supervillain of the Week.

And that’s that. A new round of play begins after that, beginning with the Battle Royale to determine that week’s ruler.

If you haven’t seen House of Villains and you’re ready to make the leap (I absolutely recommend it), then you can catch up on the season via Hulu, Fubo TV, or NBC’s website before watching the new episodes that drop on E! every Thursday.

The first reality TV villain was ousted from the game. ]]>
<![CDATA[

This article contains spoilers for ‘House of Villains’ through episode 3, which aired on E! on Oct. 26.

The newest franchise taking the reality competition community by storm is House of Villains, and the game is officially afoot after the first contestant was eliminated from the game.

It took three episodes to get there, but after 10 notorious reality stars played for power and later, a few battled for safety, Vanderpump RulesJax Taylor’s campaign to become “America’s Ultimate Supervillain” while cashing a $200,000 check came to an end.

So, what led to the 44-year-old reformed bad boy’s departure?

The Apprentice legend and perhaps the most famous reality villain of them all, Omarosa, was crowned the “Supervillain of the Week” by winning the first Battle Royale competition of the season, “Balls Out.” She was then tasked to nominate three names for the Hit List — a list nobody wanted to be on as they’d have a one-in-three chance of going home.

Omarosa chose Jax, The Bachelor 21’s Corinne Olympios, and Love Is Blind season 2’s Shake Chatterjee to hang out on the chopping block while she, Love & Hip: Miami’s Bobby Lytes, and Bad Girls Club 2’s Tanisha Thomas enjoyed a spa day as a reward for her triumph.

Later, the three nominees drove golf carts around a course blindfolded while being directed by another villain of their choosing, all to win safety. Led by The Challenge’s Johnny Bananas, Shake had the fastest time, and he erased his name from the Hit List.

Although Corinne had gotten into a spat with Omarosa on the first day, it was Jax who remained the house’s target. He was viewed as the biggest physical threat there, and his social game wasn’t doing him any favors.

So, by the time the reality crew met host Joel McHale at the Banishment Ceremony, the writing was on the wall for Jax. And unsurprisingly, he was unanimously voted out. And for those like Bobby, unanimous means Jax received every single vote over Corinne.

Even though Tanisha, with whom Jax attempted to create an alliance, cut him from the game. “We all know that Jax is a snack,” Tanisha said in a confessional. “And as much as I love my snacks, baby, they’re no good for me, and they gotta go — sorry, Jax!”

Joel then asked Jax whether he had any parting words. “No, it was a lot of fun being here and I really appreciate that you guys had me,” Jax said. And just as the Bravo star finished delivering the last word of his goodbye speech, Omarosa ejected him from the game.

“Goodbye,” she coldly said, as the floor below him flipped upward, and he disappeared from House of Villains for good.

<![CDATA[

The reality show to end reality shows debuted this year, bringing the genre full circle with the release of House of Villains.

The allure of reality TV looks different for each of its millions of fans, but many of us find particular joy in the villains of our respective guilty pleasures. They’re just so watchable, with all of their bad qualities, and they insert a constant stream of drama, intrigue, and spectacle to their shows. They’re half the reason we watch in the first place, even if we hate their guts.

Which makes it a singularly brilliant move to debut a show entirely centered around various villains from a swathe of fan-favorite reality shows. The people we love to hate from Love is Blind, Survivor, The Bachelor, The Apprentice, Bad Girls Club, and so many more are gathering to compete in a wholly unique and delectably targeted show over on E! Ten separate contestants will duke it out, over a series of competitions, to win a $200,000 grand prize and the coveted title of America’s Favorite Supervillain. Among the lineup of notorious faces is Tanisha Thomas, an easy pick for the show, considering her fraught history on the small screen.

Who is Tanisha Thomas? 5d5c4s

Her name might not immediately strike a chord, but any mention of Bad Girls Club tells you all you need to know about Thomas’ role in House of Villains. Anyone who’s seen the infamously chaotic show knows just how suited Thomas is to her new show, but for newcomers, an introduction is in order.

Thomas appeared on the second season of Bad Girls Club, sauntering into reality television in style back in the late 2000s. She kept it in the Bad Girls family, following her drama-soaked season, taking on hosting duties for spin-off Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too, and soon established herself as a reality star in her own right. A seven-episode television series following preparations for, and the execution of, her wedding was released in 2012, and later she returned to host the reunion special of Bad Girls Club season 8. Following that season, she’s become a hosting favorite, and returns to the program and its spin-offs frequently for hosting duties. That’s on top of stints on shows like The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, all of which set her up for her latest run on House of Villains.

It was one of the most controversial lies in the show's history. ]]>
<![CDATA[

Two-time Survivor castaway Jonny Fairplay is one of 10 notorious reality show figures competing on E!’s House of Villains. He’s the sole contestant representing the reality competition show, and that’s all thanks to one lie he told during his first Survivor stint during season 7’s Pearl Islands.

Although it’s been two decades since Fairplay’s dead grandma lie, it remains perhaps the most famous play in the franchise’s history.

So, what happened?

Fairplay, born Jon Dalton, had made it to the top seven of the franchise’s first season in Panama alongside the likes of future two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine, Lillian “Scout” Morris, and Burton Roberts. Like usual, the end game brought the loved ones’ visit, a Survivor staple. And the episode was appropriately titled “The Great Lie.”

Fairplay’s friend Dan, whom he called “Thunder D” and “the greatest guy in the world” arrived for the challenge. The two embraced in front of the cast, and then Fairplay asked, “How’s grandma">U.S. Sun in Feb. 2023. “I’ve heard stories of people throwing things at their TV, breaking them and screaming ‘he’s lying!’ when that aired. It was such a big moment but not everyone liked it […] I had to change my phone number a few times, I received death threats on a regular basis, and multiple people sent feces to CBS addressed to me. I also woke up in the ER three times from being sucker punched from behind, knocking me unconscious. That happened in three different states […] that wasn’t cool.”

Regardless, Jean, who is now in her 80s according to the U.S. Sun, was a major fan of her grandson’s lie. In fact, she “loved” it, Fairplay said. And when Jeff asked for her thoughts on it at the reunion, she answered: “Well, you outwit and outsmart. So, it was a game.”

And when Jeff asked if he had any remorse for fooling the castaways and production alike with the controversial lie, Fairplay replied: “No way.”

From professional wrestling and podcasting to other reality show appearances — like his brief stint on Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites in 2008 — Jon has built an entertainment career on the shoulders of his grandmother. And now that he’s on House of Villains, it’ll be fun to see if he’s cooked up another ground-breaking lie. We’ve already seen him derail Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor’s chance at earning safety in the first round of play. So, it’s clear Fairplay is more than willing to lean into the deceitful nature that made him into a reality show supervillain to score the $200,000 grand prize.

Did the reality TV villain actually win the show?]]>
<![CDATA[

Through Survivor‘s decades-long run on CBS, several castaways have made names for themselves with innovative moves, tactical plays, and competition prowess. But, perhaps the most notorious contestant ever became a household name with one villainous lie, and that’s Jonny Fairplay.

Fairplay, whose real name is Jon Dalton, is a two-time Survivor veteran best known for using his grandma’s life — well, “death” — as a game strategy. In his first reality adventure, season 7’s Pearl Islands in 2003, Fairplay’s best friend Dan came onto the show as part of the loved one’s visit during an episode appropriately titled “The Great Lie.”

Dan whispered to Fairplay that the then-29-year-old art consultant’s grandmother died while he was away filming in Panama.

An emotional Fairplay informed the rest of the cast that he was now grandma-less. Feeling bad for the broken-up Fairplay who wanted more details of his grandmother’s demise, the other players threw the competition so he could spend time with his buddy.

When Fairplay and Dan were together alone, they laughed and laughed — Fairplay’s grandma wasn’t dead. It was a ruse to make him a sympathetic character in the eyes of those wanting to vote him out.

Well, did this move lead to him winning Survivor? Nope. The now-49 year-old has never won the reality competition show.

Fairplay almost made it to day 39 on Pearl Islands and then had an early exit during Fans vs. Favorites 6c4n54

Fairplay’s diabolical fib happened around the halfway point of Pearl Island’s merge, and he lasted more than a week later into the game.

Fairplay outlasted 15 other castaways before host Jeff Probst eventually snuffed his torch. In fact, he was the final player to be voted out. This was back when only two contestants would sit in front of the jury and endure a grilling in the hope of winning $1 million. Unfortunately for Fairplay, he was taken out at the final three.

Lillian Morris, a 51-year-old Scout troop leader, won the final Immunity Challenge of the season. By doing so, she secured her spot in the final Tribal Council, and she also had the power to choose who sat beside her. As history has it, Lillian voted Fairplay out, making way for Sandra Diaz-Twine to win her first season.

That wasn’t the last time Fairplay competed on Survivor.

He appeared on season 16’s Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites in 2008 alongside nine other returning veterans and 10 rookie castaways. But, Fairplay’s game ended at the first Tribal Council when he told the rest of his tribemates that he was missing his family back home and was checked out of the game. When it was time to vote, every returnee wrote Fairplay’s name down and his second campaign for the grand prize was over, and that was the last time we saw him on Survivor.

Reality TV’s biggest villains have descended onto E! in pursuit of a cash prize and the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain.” And one of the 10 stars competing on House of Villains is John Devenanazio, better known as “Johnny Bananas.”

The first episode is in the books and the seven-time MTV’s The Challenge champion had more screen time than most. But for those unfamiliar with 41-year-old pot stirrer, who is Johnny Bananas?

In short, Bananas has spent over 15 years in the reality television world, especially in the competition space — and his experience shined during House of Villains episode one. Let’s briefly dive into Bananas’ on-screen career.

Bananas became the most winningest alum in The Challenge history after appearing on The Real World 32u10

Bananas made his television debut on MTV’s The Real World: Key West in 2006 as a 22-year-old Penn State graduate. After his stint living in the house, he transitioned to The Challenge, known then as Real World/Road Rules Challenge, later that year.

The Challenge is MTV’s flagship reality competition series and has been since the late ’90s. Like Survivor or Big Brother, players compete for a grand prize by evading elimination and winning carnival-like games. However, the franchise boasts extreme challenges and features recurring cast , and a lot of respect is put on the name of someone who wins a season and is crowned a champion.

His first appearance in the franchise was during season 13’s The Duel. And although it didn’t go well, to say the least — he was the first person eliminated from the show — the showrunners saw potential in him.

He was cast on the following three additions, and season 16’s The Island marked when Johnny cemented himself as a Challenge champion and a series mainstay.

All in all, Bananas has battled on 21 of 39 seasons of the mainline series, as well as on four different spin-offs. He’s won seven of his 21 seasons, and he holds the title for most championship wins ever. Chris “CT” Tamburello is second with five, two less than the face of The Challenge. He’s also appeared on the most seasons out of anyone.

The last time MTV-only Challenge fans saw Bananas in action was during season 38’s Ride or Dies earlier this year when he placed second.

And he’s still in the running to win CBS’s second season of The Challenge: USA, a spin-off airing on the network Thursday nights.

Bananas taking Sarah Rice’s share of their winnings landed him in villainous territory 324g1k

So, what has Bananas done to be considered a top-10 villain?

Although Bananas has had his moments of manipulation, fighting, and backstabbing on The Challenge, his cut-throat move of stealing his partner’s share of the grand prize pot was his most notorious moment in the franchise — and it was even referenced during House of Villains‘ premiere. What happened?

Bananas and Sarah Rice were paired up for season 28’s Rivals III in 2016. As the season’s name indicates, players worked in duos with their nemesis. And in this case, Bananas and Sarah were friends-turned-enemies after she backstabbed him during season 26’s Battle of the Exes II. Sarah threw Bananas into a loser-go-home tilt right before the Final Challenge, and he was ultimately eliminated from the show.

However, Bananas and Sarah dominated Rivals III around a year and a half later. They won the most Daily Challenges out of any team, and while doing so, they rekindled their friendship.

But, their relationship ultimately disintegrated after the season’s Final Challenge wrapped. After beating out the other teams, they were faced with a twist — the player who had done the best out of the winning duo was charged with deciding if they split the $275,000 grand prize.

As history has it, Bananas scored more points than Sarah. And after declaring that the hatchet between them was buried, he uttered his infamous line: “I’m going to go ahead and take the money and run.”

The move left the viewers and the rest cast — especially Sarah — shocked, and by my estimation, it’s the most famous moment in The Challenge’s history behind Bananas existing as CT’s backpack for a few seconds. You can rewatch Bananas’ ruthless decision in the YouTube player at the start of this section.

Bananas has expanded his career past The Challenge 3d61

Although Bananas is synonymous with The Challenge, he’s spent the past few years expanding his television career. For example, in 2021 he hosted LXTV’s Celebrity Sleepover but more notably, he’s taken on another gig under the NBC umbrella as host of 1st Look.

But, Bananas has also continued to use his plethora of competition experience on other shows, like Worst Cooks in America in 2020 and of course, House of Villains.

Bananas is also set to appear on The Traitors US season 2 alongside his Challenge counterpart, CT, which will air in the coming months.

Entertainment Weekly caught up with Bananas after House of Villains premiered, and he revealed that he jumped at the opportunity to the inaugural cast. At 41, Bananas is well aware that The Challenge is suited more for younger competitors, and as he potentially ages out of the show, he’ll have a robust resume to lean on moving forward.

“I have obviously made a name for myself. I have made a living, I’ve created a brand, I’ve established a reputation on MTV and on The Challenge, but I hit a point where I’m ready to take my talents elsewhere … so I jumped at the opportunity. I didn’t even have to hear what the cast was, once I heard what the premise was, I’m like, ‘Look no further.’ I had no idea it was going to be as wild, exciting, educational, and as difficult as it was, so it was truly a test.”

And so far, Bananas has done well to make himself a centerpiece of House of Villains. Besides putting in a solid second-place performance in the opening challenge and narrowly escaping a blindside from The Apprentice’s Omarosa, Bananas could be on a romantic collision course with either The Bachelor 21’s Corinne Olympios or 90 Day Fiancé 4‘s Anfisa Arkhipchenko.

“On a scale of one to The Bachelor, there’s very good odds,” Bananas said about fans seeing him enter into a showmance. “Here’s the thing though, I came into this show with every potential tool at my disposal, in order to do what I had to do to get to the end. On The Challenge, instead of politicking, we call it poli-dicking. It’s using what God blessed you with as a way to flirt and use those tactics in order to make your way to the end, so that’s the way I saw it with Corinne and Anfisa. Plus, it made things in the house a little more interesting. Things get messy for sure. I think I might’ve bit off more than I can chew with this one.”

So, how will Bananas’ House of Villains tenure play out? Only time will tell! The newly minted reality competition show airs on E! at 10 p.m. ET every Thursday.

A juicy new reality competition is pitting the best of the worst against each other, inviting reality villains back to the small screen for House of Villains.

Ten infamous favorites from a range of reality shows are competing, across an equal number of episodes, for the lofty title of America’s Favorite Supervillain. The show debuted on Oct. 12, 2023, and is expected to run until early December. Its weekly episodes will see some of the most disreputable reality stars from across programs — including Love is Blind, Love & Hip Hop: Miami, and Vanderpump Rules — come together to engage in a series of challenges. They’re also forced to live together, and — considering how notoriously difficult these people are — the show is sure to be a doozy.

For those without access to E!, Bravo, SyFy, or USA, where the show is airing, access to House of Villains is limited. The show is airing on several entertainment-savvy networks, but not everyone has the flexibility in their schedules to watch the series as it airs. They’re hoping for a streaming alternative, so they can catch up on episodes at their leisure.

Where to stream House of Villains 224715

If you’re like me, you’re far more likely to watch House of Villains in random, binged chunks than during its weekly airings. Thankfully, this shouldn’t be overly hard to do, since its episodes are streamable, following their initial airdate, over on NBC’s website. Full episodes are available to stream, with frequent ad breaks, on the site, giving slackers like me a second opportunity to catch the series.

Fubo TV also provides streaming for House of Villains, and setting up a free trial is relatively easy. If you take this route, I’d recommend waiting until the season has concluded, so that you can binge the whole thing over the course of your week-long free trial. Or you can add E! to your channels on Hulu Plus Live TV or Direct TV Stream, and enjoy it on your typical streaming services.

A delightfully messy new reality competition is officially airing, and I, for one, can’t wait to set my sights on House of Villains.

E!, the network airing House of Villains, clearly understands the allure behind many of our reality binge-sessions. We root for the wholesome, clever, and kind contestants while watching our favorite shows, but it’s the villains — the rude, cruel, and hated contestants — that make the best television. I never expected to see Shake from Love Is Blind‘s second season again, after the tongue-lashing he received from nearly every other member of the cast — and one of its hosts — but his involvement in House of Villains guarantees that I’ll watch. The same can be said for every cast member on the show — yes, she’s that Omarosa — and viewers are already lining up to watch those reality stars we love to hate compete for the title of America’s Favorite Supervillain, along with a $200,000 cash prize.

A number of reality favorites are ing Shake and host Joel McHale for the show’s debut season, coming from a range of programs. Love & Hip Hop‘s Bobby Lytes is among the lineup, but those unfamiliar with his first reality stint may be unaware of how he earned a spot on the show.

Bobby Lytes is a 32-year-old Florida native with a background in rap. He ed the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami in its debut season and has persisted as a main cast member through the majority of the series’ run. Fans of Love & Hip Hop: Miami have watched for years as Lytes, an openly gay man, fought against the often homophobic rap community in hopes of making a name for himself. Across the reality show’s five seasons, his role has gradually diminished, thanks in large part to the same behavior that earned him a spot among the House of Villains lineup.

Why is Bobby Lytes on House of Villains? 436856

Lytes, like the rest of the House of Villains competitors, earned a spot on the show after making waves — and not in a good way — in another reality program. For Lytes, it was Love & Hip Hop: Miami, where he’s known to frequently clash with his fellow cast . His season one break-up, following feud, and complicated relationship with several of his on-screen peers made him an easy antagonist for fans of the Florida-based series, and it makes him a perfect fit for House of Villains.

Prepare for loads of villainous shenanigans this fall, as the soon-to-be-a-hit competition series — House of Villains — is coming to a screen near you.

House of Villains will pit 10 of the most infamous contestants from some of our favorite reality TV shows against each other in a competition for $200,000 (as well as the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain”), and it is sure to be jam-packed with drama, fighting, backstabbing, and more.

Hosted by Joel McHale and produced by Irwin Entertainment, the contestants on House of Villains will compete in battle-royale challenges weekly that will test their physical, emotional, and mental strength – and you do not need to be the biggest, baddest villain to take home the win!

Whoever emerges as victorious after the challenge will earn immunity for the week, however, one villain will be sent home episode after episode until “America’s Ultimate Supervillain” remains.

Using their villainous abilities to manipulate their fellow competitors and climb their way to the top, these 10 contestants will do whatever they need to do to take home the win, making for a must-see series that you will definitely not want to miss.

In an interview on Live with Kelly and Mark, host Joel McHale dished about the show, deeming it as “unhinged” and “bananas.”

“This new show (it’s gonna be on E!) called House of Villains, and they basically took all the villains from reality shows in the last 20 years, and they all live together and they compete.. There’s an open bar… It is an unhinged, bananas, well Johnny Bananas is actually on it… OMAROSA’s there. Tanisha’s there. Tiffany Pollard…. I rarely say the shows I’m on are good. I’m kidding, they’re all phenomenal, but this one is really, it’s crazy.”

“The cast of this show was put together by reality TV Gods… I cannot wait to watch this show, and you know I’ll be doing it here and you’ll be watching it with me.”
