Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial is currently underway, and so far, the shocking – and sometimes downright disgusting – revelations in the court have dropped a lot more celebrity names than were initially anticipated in the case. Now that list includes Britney Spears‘ name as well.

It’s not like the singer has any dearth of drama and controversy in her life at the moment. When it’s not her social media post, triggering concern about her well-being, it is Britney herself poking the hornet’s nest to attract negative press. But not this time – it is a blast from her past, recalling her widely criticized attempt at making a comeback and potentially explaining what caused her to wreck the most important day of her career.

One of the core, most damaging points of Diddy’s case is his physical assault of then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who has appeared in court as a witness multiple times. Her testimonies have already spread the seemingly lone incident of the rapper assaulting her to that of using her in his “freak offs,” forcing her to get intimate with sex workers, and pushing her to engage in degrading sexual acts. And the failure to do any of it resulted in harsh and repeated physical violence and threats.

But when did it all start, and how does Britney factor into these severe allegations against Diddy? Well, it all began in September 2007, as revealed by Cassie on the May 15 hearing, when she was celebrating her 21st birthday in Las Vegas. Diddy came to the party and brought Dallas Austin and Britney Spears with him, who witnessed the beginning of his “sort of” relationship with Cassie.

This revelation led to internet sleuths rediscovering pictures of Britney partying with Diddy on Sept. 7, 2007, hopping from Jet Nightclub in Las Vegas to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino where the duo were ed by Paris Hilton and 50 cents for another party, which ended early morning the next day as per Page Six, but whether the singer remained with Diddy that long can’t be said with certainty.

What can be pointed out with surety is that on Sept. 9, Britney ascended the stage of the MTV VMAs, marking her big comeback after years of increasingly erratic incidents that became tabloid moments overshadowing the fact that she was under immense pressure to succeed – shaving her head, attacking paparazzi, divorce from Kevin Federline followed by a bitter custody battle (which she temporarily lost in 2007), entering and leaving multiple times in early 2007, etc. She became fodder for shows like South Park and Family Guy, which satirized her pain, while late-night hosts used her as punchline material.

A lot hinged on her comeback performance at the VMAs. But it didn’t just fail – it backfired, brutally. 

During the performance, which barely had any dance moves from Britney, the singer looked disoriented, had a vacant expression, no energy, and was visibly under-rehearsed, while her lip-syncing was obvious and off. To add to the backlash, at the time, unaware of her life struggles, even her staunchest fans were quick to point fingers, even stooping to body-shame her.

Was Diddy the cause of her disastrous comeback attempt, or was this just a woman in distress who people refused to show empathy to and who was pushed by her team, salivating to cash in on the media hype around her return? But she indeed was there to mark her attendance in Cassie’s life on the day her future would fall into the hands of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Britney Spears got herself in trouble with the Federal Aviation istration when the multi-platinum singer was met with authorities after landing on her chartered plane.

People reports that Spears chartered her plane from Cabo San Lucas back to LAX. Spears was reportedly back from a vacation and sparked a cigarette during the flight. The flight crew apparently asked her to put out the cigarette, and while Spears reportedly followed their orders, the crew had already alerted the authorities. And immediately the plane landed at LAX, Spears was welcomed home with a slew of authorities.

Since 2000, the FAA has banned smoking in flights. Some private jets, however, do come equipped with smoking zones, but it seems this was not that kind of plane. Britney Spears is by far not the first celebrity who has been caught not following these rules. Some years back, Lil Wayne was reportedly kicked off a chartered private plane for these same reasons. So the FAA did not give Britney Spears any serious reprimanding, and she was lucky to get off with just a warning. But it’s worth mentioning that People reports that the authorities have caught her doing such things before — the source said, “This is not her first warning. She doesn’t exactly follow the rules.”

The FAA has enough problems as is, and throwing the book at a celebrity who just did a minor infraction seems pretty low on their priority list. But if she keeps this pattern up, she might not be so lucky next time. Britney Spears has been going through a tough readjustment period post-conservatorship, with this just being the latest episode of that particular chapter of her life. Spears, of course, is going through a recent divorce from Sam Asghari, which apparently took a financial toll on her despite the ironclad prenup that she had.

Britney Spears’ life has had various episodes of her struggling with too much attention from the public eye, and it’s not a secret that that brings about a emotional strain. There have been reports that the way she deals with the emotional turmoil and isolation is with lavish vacations and other exuberant purchases. This is what made the conservatorship so complicated, because on one hand, it’s been proven to have aspects of poor treatment to the people who need it. But there’s also another side of the coin, where some people truly are not emotionally stable enough to handle the vast amounts of wealth that they’ve accumulated over the years.

Just recently, there was a case of Cher’s son spotted in the streets of LA disheveled and alone. It would be quite a spiral if Britney Spears also gets there too. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves — this, at the end of the day, is just a minor error on her part, and the fact that she immediately put it off at least suggests a sense of self-preservation. Even Spears’ own peers it that the attention that she got from the tabloids and paparazzi during her prime would have driven any of them mad, so picking on her for the slightest issue — while always en vogue — appears not to always be the right thing to do.

Britney Spears’ representatives have not responded to questions about this incident as of this moment. We wish her a peaceful life as she continues to readjust to life out here.

Pop star Britney Spears was involved in a situation that led to police being called at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Thursday after an incident on a private jet. The events that led to this involved Spears reportedly drinking alcohol and lighting a cigarette during a flight from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to Los Angeles.

According to reports from TMZ, this behavior worried the flight attendants, who told her to put out the cigarette. While Spears did as she was asked, her behavior was described as disruptive and hard for the flight crew to handle. When the plane landed at LAX, authorities were there to speak with the singer.

While the LAX police said they did not respond to the incident, sources say that officials from Customs and Border Protection gave Spears a warning about her behavior on the flight. This warning, though it may seem like a small consequence, publicly acknowledges what happened and shows that authorities took her actions seriously.

The fact that there was no stronger response might mean they chose to give a verbal warning instead of pressing charges, possibly considering Spears’ past and her reported mental health struggles. The private jet company, JSX, did not comment on the situation.

This incident brings up serious concerns about Spears’ mental health, especially given her long legal conservatorship and her public statements about her experiences. People close to Spears have said that her mental health continues to be a struggle. While the singer is sick of the fake concern, this kind of worry feels real.

While drinking and smoking are not illegal on their own, doing so in the confined and regulated space of an airplane, combined with reports of disruptive behavior, added to the overall concern. The fact that Spears was reportedly “difficult” during the flight suggests this was not just normal in-flight behavior but rather a more troubling sign of distress.

At this point in his career, Ben Affleck is an elder statesman of Hollywood. There’s little he can’t do, and there’s even less he hasn’t experienced — chief among them being the harassment of the paparazzi. Affleck recently revealed that they’re the reason he always looks so grumpy in photos, and he even speculates they may have played a role in Britney Spears’ infamous breakdown.

During the press tour for the excellent The ant 2, Ben Affleck has been more forthcoming than usual. When Theo sat down with Affleck, he was more interested in why Affleck always looks like the most miserable person alive. Affleck has long served meme galleries across the internet — whether he’s on a coffee run to his beloved Dunkin’ Donuts or holding the door open for his off-again-on-again-then-off-again partner J.Lo, Ben Affleck almost always looks like he’d rather be anywhere else.

Affleck explained to Theo that it only looks odd because the photos and videos never show the “poking of the tiger,” just the reaction. He then shifted his thoughts to the long-battered Britney Spears, expressing that “years and years” ago, during the early 2000s, when they were both coming up, he felt a “lot of empathy” for her. Affleck said, “I don’t know because I don’t know her. But I do know that the cycle of having people harangue you and yell at you and hassle you and follow you — it seemed like that itself was kind of whipping up the whole thing into a tizzy.”

“That’s the first time I thought this is kind of a weird, unintentional — I think culturally — but kind of collective cruelty where what’s taken out of the image that you see are the people around waving the stick at the tiger or poking on it.”

Affleck and his family have long been critical of the paparazzi. In 2013, his ex-wife Jennifer Garner was at the forefront of championing a law that made it illegal for paparazzi to harass or publish images of minors — mostly the children of celebrities — without parental consent. Hollywood has them to thank for the blurring out of children’s faces in those school pickup shots or other moments where people should just be able to live without fuss.

Spears, unfortunately, had that particular breakdown to thank for her years-long conservatorship, which only ended recently after an intense fan campaign. Paparazzi are, ultimately, just trying to make a living — and under normal circumstances, there’s a glimmer of empathy in that. But their approach can, at times, be far too aggressive.

If you want to celebrate these stars and document them, then it’s best to build a rapport. It’s not just good business — it’s good manners.

Wendy Williams is known for The Wendy Williams Show, but more than that, she is infamous for the controversies she acquired during her long stint as its host. Tact has not been her strongest suit, not when she appeared to dismiss Terry Crew’s sexual assault allegations against a top Hollywood agent, or when she went against publicly breastfeeding being a natural act and called it sexual. 

It was this inability to rein in her extreme reactions that earned her massive backlash when the topic was Britney Spears’ controversial conservatorship.

Back in 2021, when Britney fought against her conservatorship and testified against the “bullying” she experienced under her “abusive” father, who only wanted to control her $60 million fortune, the public perception swiftly altered, and soon protests to free the pop star took over the nation. Her father allegedly refused to let her get married,  didn’t let her remove her IUD, and pushed her to take lithium. Of the many who now saw Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, in a whole new light, Williams was also one.

In one of the episodes of her show, Williams cemented her position as a er of the #FreeBritney movement and touched up the then-unfolding court case to openly – and without holding back anything — condemn the singer’s father (and everyone else responsible for the hell Britney endured all those years) to death. 

“How dare you, Mr. Spears, you had me fooled. And you too, Mrs. Spears. Death to all of them.”

That was a strong reaction for the studio audience, who gasped in shock at her words. But it didn’t end there as despite this particular segment getting edited out of the full episode, the backlash still came at Williams, even including staunch Britney ers who didn’t agree with Williams’ choice of words.

Many pointed out Williams’ hypocrisy here because mere months before this statement, she had been talking about how Britney needs to be “controlled.”

“I think that her father is a good man. I’ve heard that she still needs to be controlled, and she needs to have someone that’s controlling her finances, and controlling who she is friends with and where she goes and what time she’s coming in …”

At this point, #FreeBritney was spreading, with many fighting for Britney’s freedom. Of course, the singer found fresh from many in the industry after her testimony. Williams’ newfound desire to be in her corner didn’t really sit well with those who ed her regressive comments about Britney and they definitely didn’t appreciate her attempt of backpedaling when the voices standing up for her grew louder.

Today, Williams is striving to escape a similar hell. The only difference? There is no one questioning her ability to handle the freedom she desires desperately.

John Chu, the director set to helm a biopic about Britney Spears, has responded to rumors around who will lead the cast of the much-anticipated film. 

In case you missed it, Chu first ed the Spears biopic back in August of last year, setting the internet alight with speculation as to who would portray the iconic pop star. Naturally, a movie of this pedigree spawned a fan-casting frenzy, with audiences floating names like Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande and Millie Bobby Brown for the leading role. The suggestion of the former two actresses was well-placed, since Grande recently starred in Wicked, directed by Chu, and Brown has frequently expressed interest in portraying Spears.

However, try as they might, fans didn’t quite have the behind-the-scenes influence they might’ve hoped for, at least according to Chu. The director took to social media to react to rumors of Grande, Carpenter and Brown being in contention for the role of Spears, and his response might feel like a dagger in the heart of the pop music fandom. “None of this is true,” Chu wrote in reply to a viral X post that quoted a report from Life & Style. Chu went on to say that while the trio’s attachment to the movie “sounds exciting,” suggestions of their involvement are impossible given where the biopic is at in its development. 

“[We] have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet,” the director wrote, before confirming that “we are way too early in development.” Chu’s statement puts to bed much of the speculation around the cast for the film, which saw other fans put forward names like Olivia Holt, Sydney Sweeney, and Elle Fanning. While information around the cast remains scarce, we do know a few details about the currently untitled biopic.

Universal Pictures will produce the film after securing the rights last year, and it will be based upon Spears’ own best-selling memoir, The Woman In Me, which arrived in 2023. That book recounts Spears’ career from her days on Mickey Mouse Club to her much-publicized conservatorship battle, but it’s not yet known which elements of the memoir will be used in the biopic. Marc Platt — whose credits include Wicked, Dear Evan Hanson and Cruella — is also on board as a producer. Beyond those details — plus Chu’s revelation in January that Spears herself will be “very involved” — very little is known about the Spears biopic. 

This isn’t the first time Grande and Carpenter have been at the top of fan-cast lists in recent months. Grande — who received an Oscar nomination for her role in Wicked — became the subject of much online chatter around an Audrey Hepburn biopic, after she was spotted channeling the iconic moviestar on multiple red carpets earlier this year. For her part, Carpenter has long been atop fans’ wishlists for the lead role in an inevitable live-action remake of Tangled, though neither actress has confirmed these speculations.

Naturally, we’ll just have to wait and see who will be given the honor of portraying Spears in the biopic, but in the meantime, we can always revisit her iconic discography, or catch her on old reruns of Mickey Mouse Club. Britney Spears just sent us all into a frenzy after she reunited with her former attorney, Matthew Rosengart, recently. In case you missed it, Rosengart is responsible for the pop star’s freedom from her obnoxious 13-year conservatorship. It was terminated in November 2021 with the help of this attorney. The reunion happened amid the disturbing news that Spears reunited with her ex-convict boyfriend Paul Soliz.

So, could the “Toxic” hitmaker be lawyering up now that she’s back with Soliz? Or, could she be gearing up for another legal battle? Unfortunately, it’s neither of the two. At least, that’s what we got based on what she disclosed online. Apparently, Spears and Rosengart met up recently for a friendly catch-up.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the 43-year-old retired singer shared a video of herself with her former lawyer striking poses for the camera at the latter’s Los Angeles office. Their reunion happened seven months after they officially parted ways, so Spears acknowledged that she was getting all the feels.

“It’s been way too long since I’ve seen him !!! OMG OMG OMG !!! It was such an incredible day !!! I am blessed and got a book… He showed me up with his suit !!! I will be in heels next time … PS – I thought they were taking pictures but it was on Video,” Spears captioned her post.

Based on Spears’ warm smile and how she comfortably posed beside the lawyer, she was so happy to see him again. Despite immediate fan theories that she could be rekindling a professional relationship with the former federal prosecutor, insiders quickly shut down the speculations over their lunch meeting, saying it was purely social.

“She asked Rosengart to lunch to catch up,” one source exclusively told Page Six. Rosengart on the same day. Apart from his pivotal role in ousting Spears’ estranged father Jamie Spears as conservator in 2021, Rosengart also secured Spears a final settlement in April 2024 before moving on from the artist’s legal matters.

“They accomplished what they set out to do,” the source explained, adding that Rosengart is “very proud” of his work with Spears but is now focused on other high-profile cases.

Before the clarification, the timing of Britney’s legal reunion raised eyebrows due to her rekindled romance with Soliz. The couple, who split seven months ago, were spotted celebrating Valentine’s Day together — along with his children. As previously reported, Spears got back with Soliz in early February despite his being convicted in 2022 on felony possession of a firearm, and other misdemeanors.

The Grammy winner and the 37-year-old, who has a long rap sheet and a history of being labeled a “deadbeat dad” according to the Daily Mail, were seen cruising in Soliz’s Mercedes G-Wagon — a luxury ride Spears herself reportedly gifted her beau just a month into their relationship.

Since Spears has remained mum about her rekindled romance, fans could not help but wonder whether she’s seeking legal advice as a precaution. Sadly, only time has the answer to this. But it would be wise for her to get some professional advice, given what she went through to enjoy her life today.

Britney Spears seemingly likes to prove her bashers right because why else would she rekindle her romance with her ex-boyfriend, Paul Soliz? Of all her past lovers, excluding her first ex-husband Jason Alexander, Soliz is notorious for being convicted in 2022 on felony possession of a firearm, with several previous misdemeanors. Aside from that, she got in trouble late last year because of him.

In December 2024, we reported about Soliz’s estranged wife, Nicole Mancilla, struggling to track him down as he was reportedly hiding in the pop star’s house. Mancilla even asked a process server to inquire about Soliz’s whereabouts at Spears’ 13,000-square-foot estate in Thousand Oaks, California. But the effort was futile, as the singer’s security turned them away.

Soliz has nine children from different relationships, and some of them allegedly stayed at the “Baby One More Time” hitmaker’s house last year. Spears’ close pals did try to persuade her to ditch her problematic lover, who has been convicted of multiple crimes, but she kept on ignoring their warnings.

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, TMZ broke the news that Spears and Soliz are back together. It’s not clear when and how long they split before this, as several reports claimed late last year that they were still together. But the Daily Mail claimed recently that their rekindled romance comes seven months after their last breakup.

Anyhow, the confirmation that Spears is back to romancing her criminal ex came in the form of paparazzi photos published by TMZ. In the snaps, Spears is seen sitting on the enger side of a black Mercedes Benz G-Wagon, which was parked outside Lily Pad Playground in the San Fernando Valley.

Insiders told the tabloid that Spears bought the car for her beau a month into their romance. Eyewitnesses also confirmed that she spent some time with Soliz and two of his younger children at the playground. She was even heard clarifying to some people there that “these aren’t my kids.” Other than that, she barely interacted with the other parents and their little ones at the facility.

Spears seems to be fond of her boyfriend’s children. In September 2023, she was snapped with one of his daughters. Then, in August 2024, she took three of his children to a Sky Zone in Thousand Oaks.

As for her own kids, Spears shared both Jayden, 18, and Sean, 19, with her second ex-husband, Kevin Federline. Both lived with their dad because a court granted him sole custody in 2008. They even moved with him to Hawaii in August 2023. Since the two are now young adults, Spears has found a way to reconnect with them. We heard she’s offering “any help” she could give to her younger son, who is ionate about music production.

While Spears may be enjoying her time with Soliz’s young children, fans are sure he’s not a good fit for her and may even be dangerous. Last May, she and Soliz were reported to have had a serious fight while staying at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, though Spears claimed she merely twisted her ankle by mistake and screamed in pain.

Los Angeles is dealing with one of the most destructive natural disasters in its history, as wildfire after wildfire continues engulfing several neighborhoods, leaving behind only smoldering ruins. Many residents have lost their homes, with an estimated $50 billion in damages, while many others have been ordered to evacuate.

Several iconic landmarks have been reduced to rubble throughout LA, and several celebrities have lost their homes in the star-studded neighborhood of Pacific Palisades. Britney Spears is among those who have been asked to evacuate.

The “Baby One More Time” singer owns a $7.4 million mansion in Thousand Oaks, and, while the neighborhood was not affected at the beginning of the fire outbreak, Spears revealed on social media that she left her home.

In a new Instagram post shared on Jan. 9, Spears shared a video of a doll’s pink stylish stilettos with an update on her current situation amid the ongoing fires. The 43-year-old singer began her post hoping “you are all doing ok.”

She explained, “I had to evacuate my home and I’m driving 4 hours to a hotel!!!” She didn’t clarify whether she was stuck in traffic with other evacuating residents or simply wanted to get as far away from the fire as possible.

Spears further explained that, like many Angelenos, the last few days have been hard so she highlighted that, “I’m posting these adorable shoes to lift people’s spirits !!!”

The “Oops! I Did It Again” superstar revealed she was silent over the last couple of days because her house, like many, lost power. “Most people may not even be on their phones !!! I wasn’t the past two days because I had no electricity to charge and I just got my phone back !!! I pray you’re all doing well and I send my love.”

Spears purchased the mansion in 2015, which cost $7.4 million. The superstar has recently shared her desire to move to Mexico, where she reportedly owns a different property, but she was back in SoCal during the fires.

The mansion sits on nearly 21 acres in a gated community, and it includes five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The singer has amounted quite a fortune thanks to her multiple hits, as well as her bankable Las Vegas residencies, which she did while under conservatorship. The villa was originally listed in 2013 for $12 million but Spears managed to get it in 2015 for $7.4 million.

The two-story mansion offers views of the valley and mountains and boasts high ceilings, an oak library, a media room, a detached pool house with a full kitchen and wine cellar, a lighted tennis court, an infinity pool, spa, and a golf course. In 2022, she married actor and model Sam Asghari in a private ceremony at her home.

Spears was far from the only celebrity who had to evacuate their home. Mark Hamill, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, Miles Teller, Heidi Montag, and more celebrities have been forced to evacuate, and some of them returned home to see the buildings in ruins. So far, 10 people have lost their lives in the fire, but the number is expected to rise.

Luckily for Spears, as well as the previously mentioned celebrities, they were able to leave their homes and get to safety with their family and pets. Spears hasn’t provided an update on the status of her home yet.

Fresh off the success of Wicked, director Jon M. Chu is not only working on part two, titled Wicked: For Good, but is also preparing to helm another major project — a biopic for pop music icon Britney Spears.

In Aug. 2024, Universal Pictures announced that it had acquired the rights to Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, released in October of the following. Chu was confirmed as the director, with Marc Platt set to produce the project. Spears teased her fans on X, writing that she was “excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #Marlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies… stay tuned.”

Within a week of its release, The Woman in Me sold more than 1.1 million copies in the U.S. alone. Spears extended her heartfelt gratitude to her fans, saying, “I poured my heart and soul into my memoir, and I am grateful to my fans and readers around the world for their unwavering .” According to the singer, she decided to tell her story in her own words after getting out of her 13-year conservatorship. “I sat back while people spoke about me and told my story for me… I was finally free to tell my story without consequences from the people in charge of my life,” she stated.

Not many details have been revealed since the biopic’s announcement, but Chu recently spoke about it at the Golden Globes red carpet. Although he hasn’t delved too deep into the project, he said Spears “will be very involved in this.”

Who will play Britney Spears in the biopic?

Chu said that although he hasn’t started anything yet, he already has ideas on how to approach the movie, but it’s still early days. However, what he did say was that he will take fans’ opinions into , at least when it comes to casting. When news of the project spread, Spears’ fans immediately expressed their opinions about who they wanted to portray her. Some of the most mentioned names include Sydney Sweeney, Sabrina Carpenter, and Dove Cameron.

“I’ve seen all fan castings and I always take those into consideration because maybe there’s a good idea out there,” Chu said. However, the director added that the decision around who will portray the musician is still a long way off, as he must know the “approach of the movie” to see which star would be the perfect fit.

What Chu is sure of is that he wants to bring Spears’ story to life. He came back and he feels older and smarter than me!!!” Spears continued praising Jayden, adding, “He’s a man and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! Her youngest is interested in music production, which he shares on his Instagram with his 31k followers. His latest post, released on Dec. 21, had fans noting how much he looks like his mom, while also praising his talent.

Mancilla’s desperate attempts to serve Soliz divorce papers have now led her straight to Spears’ mansion, but even that’s proving to be a dead end.

Citing court documents, In Touch Weekly reported that Mancilla, who has been married to Soliz for eight years, is pleading with the court not to dismiss her divorce case as she’s been unable to locate him. Her last-ditch efforts to serve Soliz via alternative methods, including potentially posting an ad in the newspaper, come after multiple failed attempts to confront him at Spears’ sprawling 13,000-square-foot Thousand Oaks estate in California.

With Mancilla’s directive, a process server reportedly visited the pop star’s home on Nov. 14, only to be turned away by security, who claimed Soliz did not live there. Not one to give up easily, Mancilla sent the server back two days later, but got the same excuse. Now, Mancilla’s case is in limbo, leaving her stranded while her elusive husband reportedly enjoys the high life with Spears, 43.

Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Mancilla filed for divorce in October, listing their separation date as June 29, 2023. She’s asking for legal and physical custody of their four children and spousal , though she wants the contractor’s right to collect terminated. Meanwhile, Soliz’s shady behavior — along with his alleged nine children from various relationships — isn’t exactly helping his case.

Sources close to Spears are reportedly waving every red flag they can find, urging the singer to reconsider her relationship with Soliz, 38. “But he always weasels his way back in,” a source told In Touch in October, adding that Soliz’s criminal record and questionable motives have the singer’s inner circle deeply concerned.
