Rising dubstep act We’re Not Friends have returned over the weekend to deliver their latest single, a bass heavy cut titled “Dare” that sees them linking up with vocalist Brenna V.K. On their new track, the duo push the boundaries of bass music with a unique production that cuts through the noise.

“Dare” kicks off with a melodic introduction, driven by Brenna V.K.’s sultry vocal delivery and ethereal chords, as the drums gradually buildup in intensity. Moving into the drop, We’re Not Friends offer up a barrage of growling bass and screeching synths, while off-kilter drum hits twist the listener’s perception of rhythm. The song cycles through another verse before concluding with a final drop that offers up some interesting variation.

While “Dare” has plenty of dancefloor firepower to satisfy bass music lovers, the new single sees We’re Not Friends testing the limits of dubstep with an adventurous production. The vocal verses offer up the perfect contrast to the blistering drops, making for a sonic experience that spans the gamut.

“Dare” is available now via Artist Intelligence Agency and can be found here.
