Vin Diesel offers a reminder that ‘Fast X’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ are far from the end of his sequel days

He'll be back. He'll always be back.

With two of his biggest money-makers starting to wind down, you might have thought Vin Diesel might start panicking about where his next potentially lucrative sequel is going to come from, but he’s here to offer a helpful reminder that he’s always got an IP bubbling away on the back burner.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, the fact so many Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans have dubbed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as their swansong might lead you to believe that Diesel’s Groot would be following suit, even if he does keep teasing that additional plans are in store for the sentient tree.

Not only that, but he’s only got two more appearances as Dominic Toretto to go before The Fast Saga finally runs out of gas, but we know better than to expect the gravel-throated action hero to recede quietly into the night and try his hand at something original or outside of his wheelhouse.

Instead, he’s back with more concept art from the fourth Riddick adventure, which we at least know is happening for real this time after it entered active development a full decade after Diesel had first brought it up.

Of course, Riddick doesn’t even exist in the same stratosphere as the MCU or Fast & Furious in of popularity or box office drawing power, but that’s never stopped Diesel before. If it hits big, then you can bet your ass he’ll be trying to get a fifth one off the ground as fast as possible, especially when he’s the one that owns the rights to the character.
