The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 marketing is definitely trying to make us think Rocket is going to die, but is Marvel overplaying its hand or is it all just a big misdirect? A lot of fans certainly think it’s the latter, even in the face of Rocket’s MoCap performer (and Kraglin actor) Sean Gunn itting the threequel is his “swan song” in the role. Though the most obvious explanation for this is, yes, Rocket isn’t going to make it out alive, many folks are desperately coming up with other reasons why this could be. Are they onto something here or are they just futilely sticking their heads in the sand. We’ll find out soon enough.
