Here’s What You Can Expect To See In The Avengers 4 Trailer

With the first Avengers 4 trailer finally - finally! - set to drop tomorrow at 9am EST, here's what we expect it to show us.
This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

At long last, the an emotional rollercoaster with numerous false starts and disappointments, but it’s now confirmed that Friday is the day where it’ll all come to an end. But what exactly can fans expect to see in this insanely hyped trailer?

Well, we know what you shouldn’t expect to see, and that’s any of the dusted heroes. It’s already been confirmed that characters like Spider-Man, won’t feature in any of the marketing at all. That means posters, photos, clips, etc. It’s a bold move, promoting the film without some of its most recognizable faces, but one that might just pay off in the end.

So, what can we expect to get then? Well, much of the focus will be on the remaining, original Avengers. That’d be Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow. We’ll no doubt see them coming together in their state of shock and grief as they formulate a plan to bring their friends back and defeat Thanos once and for all. After seeing them split up for so much of Infinity War, we imagine Marvel will give us at least a few shots of everyone back together again and we can’t wait to see them assembled once more as a team.

Of course, there are a few other heroes still kicking around as well – Captain Marvel, War Machine, Ant-Man, Nebula and Rocket – but we wouldn’t expect for the trailer to focus much on them. In fact, we’d be surprised if we even saw them at all. Especially Captain Marvel.

Beyond that, though, there’s obviously going to be a big spotlight on Thanos, as he’s still the main threat of the film and arguably one of its biggest draws. It’ll be interesting to see what he’s up to in this post-Snap – sorry, post-Decimation (as that’s the official name for the Snap) – world and we expect that we’ll see quite a bit of him in the trailer.

Finally, it’s expected that we’ll get some Quantum Realm stuff as well. Perhaps not footage of our heroes traveling through it, but it’s likely that Marvel will be playing up that aspect of the film in order to warm audiences up to it, as it’s going to hold a pretty big role not only in Avengers 4, but in the whole of the MCU moving forward – from what we’ve been told.

And that’s it, really. Don’t expect any big action set pieces, don’t expect any surprise cameos, and certainly don’t expect to learn very much about the plot. Everything we’ve been told points to this being a fairly limited look at the film, with the OG heroes assembling to take down Thanos and a glimpse of the post-Decimation world they now live in being the main focus of it. But that’s perfectly fine, because with still so long to go before Avengers 4 hits theaters, you wouldn’t want everything already spoiled and out in the open, would you?
