Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally, golly, what a day! Fans of the animated a She-Hulk TV series was coming to Disney Plus, all of which have since been confirmed, so we have no reason to doubt them – Disney is currently in the early stages of developing a live-action reboot (similar to the style of the recent Lion King) of their 1973 classic.
The original film followed the adventures of Robin Hood and Little John as they teamed up with the inhabitants of Nottingham to fight the oppressive taxation from the hostile Prince John. Unlike other features that revolve around the iconic hero, though, Disney’s flick used anthropomorphic animals to portray the legendary characters. The movie was a financial success and has since become known as one of the best adaptions of the famous tale.
From what we understand, the studio will once again use animals in its storytelling. It’s a smart move, too, as many of the other live-action projects that have tried to tell the tale of Robin Hood with humans ended up disappointing at the box office. Besides, why make changes to the formula if it worked so well the first time around?
As mentioned above, the film will likely follow the path of the remake.
Clearly, there’s a lot we still don’t know about the new Robin Hood, but keep checking We Got This Covered for more news about the flick as it breaks, as well as information on all of the other Disney live-action reboots, of which there are many.
