A new 'Bachelorette' contestant is already collecting fans.

The latest season of The Bachelorette is officially upon us, and viewers are already picking their favorite contestants.

A selection of 25 men will be fighting for the favor of this season’s Bachelorette, with several notable names gaining prominence over the rest. While plenty of viewers are fast fans of some of the lesser-known contestants, there’s no denying the appeal — and name recognition — of additions like Guinness World Record holder Chris Spell and Sean McLaughlin, son of Republican Steven McLaughlin, who was indicted on multiple felony counts just two years back. Joey Graziadei’s name is also causing a stir among sporty Bachelorette fans, even though he lacks the star power of some of his peers.

Who is Joey Graziadei?

The competition for Charity Lawson’s heart is already fierce, and season 20 of The Bachelorette is just getting started. Among the final 25 men selected to compete for that sought-after rose is Joey Graziadei, a former tennis coach and current Ike’ Ola Ambassador for Club Kukui’ula in Kauai, Hawaii. Graziadei isn’t a native Hawaiian — he appears to originally hail from Pennsylvania — but he quickly fell in love with the island’s gorgeous scenery, and chose to relocate. His work as a “teaching tennis pro” is likely how Graziadei secured his position as an ambassador, and is certainly part of the culprit behind his athleticism and charm.

Early promos for Graziadei’s time on the show indicate that his family is extremely important to the 28-year-old (he was 27 during filming for season 20), and reveal that he gained his “loving and accepting” personality from his dad, who is gay, and who remains a vital part of Graziadei’s life. He’s also got a pair of sisters, Carly and Ellie, who he’s also quite close with.

Graziadei seems determined to give this season of The Bachelorette, and Charity herself, his best attempt. He’s been clear that he’s ready to find the one, and he thinks Charity might just be it. We’ll find out over the rest of The Bachelorette season 20, as Graziadei works to stand out among the season’s fierce competition.
