‘I’ll say the quiet part out loud’: Donald Trump dumps hallucinated mush as reason for blocking the ‘best and brightest’ from America

While MAGA will like to tell you tales of growth and miracles at work, America is caught in a downward spiral – economically, morally, and internationally – thanks to a man who vowed to make it great. And lo and behold, we have taken yet another step towards this fast-approaching degradation.

Why?

Well, the usual hare-brained logic that needs to be carefully decoded since it is drowning in his usual mush of verbal diarrhea.

In the last few days, the Trump istration, aided by its Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem – who has been dubbed “dangerously dumb” for not knowing the meaning of habeas corpus – turned its destructive focus on Harvard University. The university’s certification under the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) was revoked, effectively preventing the institution from enrolling new international students. This decision was justified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), citing Harvard’s alleged non-compliance with federal regulations, including accusations of harboring antisemitism and susceptibility to foreign influence. 

In response, Harvard filed a lawsuit, underlining how the revocation violates its First Amendment rights and constitutes political retaliation as well as pointing out how the unconstitutional decree would cause immediate and irreparable harm to its international student community, which comprises over 7,000 individuals. U.S. District Judge Allison D. Burroughs in Massachusetts subsequently issued a temporary restraining order, halting the enforcement of the DHS decision and allowing current international students to remain enrolled while the legal proceedings continue.

So, given these very complicated and frankly outrageous decisions taken by his istration under his orders, one would think Trump would have a well-thought-out, at least coherent answer to explain why he is doing what he is doing. Right?

While people on X are turning to the AI bot Grok to make heads or tails, here is your explanation of what is going on in Trump’s haywire little noggin.

His comment about Harvard students needing remedial maths since they “can’t add” implies these international students are academically weak, to the point that they require basic remedial courses like elementary math, which he sees as a contradiction to Harvard’s reputation for academic excellence… which is incorrect since Harvard is extremely selective. 

Students, both international and domestic, are held to very high standards – someone who “can’t add” wouldn’t be itted in the first place. Seems like someone is projecting. Again. Same goes for the university providing remedial math to students needing that level of – as we know, such students won’t by the academic threshold in the first place.

What the president is actually not saying is that academic performance means squat to him. Students are underqualified, in his opinion, simply because they carry out protests and propose opinions ideologically opposed to him.

For now, his garbled dreams are on hold. A hearing is scheduled for May 29, 2025, to determine whether the restraining order on Harvard will be extended or modified. Till that happens, the order hangs in the middle, and Harvard retains its ability to enroll international students.
